Progress in Fishery Sciences (Prog Fish Sci) (Chinese title:Yuye Kexue Jinzhan), is a double blind peer-reviewed bi-monthly academic journal in fisheries field, supervised by Ministry of Agriculture, sponsored by Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences and China Society of Fisheries, and published by Science Press, Beijing, China. Prog Fish Sci was founded in 1980, and it changed name from Marine Fisheries Research into current name in 2009. Prof. TANG Qisheng, an academician of Chinese Engineering Academy and Vice President of China Association for Science and Technology, serves as the Editor-in-Chief.

Prog Fish Sci publishes originalresearch articles, reviews and communication with a variety of topics in the field of fishery or fishery-related sciences and technology, including fisheries biology, fisheries oceanography, aquaculture, aquatic germplasm resources & genetic breeding, protection of aquatic wild animals, disease prevention & control of aquatic animals, fisheries ecosystem protection, fisheries facilities & fishing techniques, fishing equipment manufacturing technology, and comprehensive utilization & quality control of aquatic products etc.

Prog Fish Sci as one of core scientific journals and National Excellent Agricultural Journalin China,is widely recognized by professionals in aquaculture and fisheries.
